Ionamin is used as an appetite suppressant. It is used in conjunction with an
overall diet plan to reduce weight.
Meridia is recommended for overweight people with an initial body mass index (BMI)
of 30 or higher, or for overweight people with a BMI of 27 or higher if they have
medical risk factors such as high blood pressure, diabetes, or high cholesterol.

Phendimetrazine works much the same way as does Tenuate (Below).
Generic Name: diethylpropion. Brand Names: Tenuate, Tenuate Dospan. Tenuate stimulates
the central nervous system (nerves and brain), which increases your heart rate
and blood pressure and decreases your appetite.
Xenical is a weight loss medication that targets the absorption of fat in your
body rather than suppressing your appetite. Xenical is useful for long term use
and has been shown to be effective for 1-2 years.
